Stepfather had the problem that the cylinder could only be turned briefly and got stuck. The door was locked and could not be opened, fortunately he was inside. In any case, the technician had already seen in the stairwell that there is a property management and that they are responsible for covering the repair costs. (Door over 25 years old, can of course wear out) The technician came in through a window and repaired the fault (some part was broken and got jammed) the interior was replaced, the cylinder itself was not, so old keys are usable. Ultimately, it was about 2.5 hours of work plus travel time, about 500€ the bill was sent directly to the property management and done, so no money had to be taken out of pocket. Price-wise for a weekend job (Saturday morning) and considering the working time, quite reasonable. The reason for my detailed review is the number of many black sheep in this industry who just want to take your money. And a detailed report speaks more words than simple 5 stars without comment. PS: stay away from 0800 hotlines or similar 😅 generally inquiring what makes a serious company can help. In any case, don’t let yourself be stressed and don’t let your emergency situation be exploited, if a technician seems strange to you or wants payment in advance, sending them away is usually the best decision!
